Studio Notes: May 20, 2011
Today I worked on my sports painting of men running out of the water in the fog. I used a rag to lay down the paint on the canvas for the first layer -I left my brushes at home. Everything is blurry and I like it that way. Earlier this week I worked on the Rotation of Charon. She is starting to flesh out a bit. Pluto can be seen in the background. Interesting trying to figure out how to color outer space. There are some fantastic reference photos of the universe out there. Also worked on a storyboard for an art project I want to animate. Need to figure out what program to use for 2-d. Anyone out there got any ideas?...Er, anyone out there?... In space no one can see you create art projects.
Oh, I also worked on the Conservator and the Carousel Horse using my palette knife. Fun, Fun, Fun!
