Skateboarding is one of the thriving action sport industries in Santa Cruz that combines design, innovation, and technology. This display, created by Santa Cruz Design + Innovation Center will showcase how local talent has contributed to the continuing worldwide success of this sport. Examples of historic and contemporary design will be shown along with related products, graphics, and videos. The Santa Cruz Design + Innovation Center strives to promote Santa Cruz as a design destination for world-class design talent; unite designers, innovators, students and educators in a globally recognized center of design excellence; and educate the public on the importance of design and why design matters.
